Callibaetis mayflies (aka "Speckled mayfly") live in lakes, slower moving sections of many rivers and spring creeks. It can also be fished as a Drake or other type of darker bodied mayfly. With a Comparadun style hair wing and no hackle, this pattern floats well but with the body right in the surface film, presenting a very realistic silhouette. The tail is made of amber Z-Lon and can represent either a trailing shuck or a regular mayfly tail. Available in sizes 14, 16, 18, 20 & 22.
TIP: Try the smaller sizes in slower sections of any tailwater.
